Directors
  1. Purpose: Serve as representatives of the general membership on the Executive Board, Committees, and elsewhere as needed. The 2nd year Director serves as Chair and the 1st year Director serves as Assistant Chair of the Annual Meeting Committee.
  2. Term of Office: Two years. One director elected annually. Following their election, serves as 1st-year Director. During second year of service, acts as 2nd-year Director.
  3. Voting Status: Voting members
  4. Major Duties/Responsibilities:

    5. First-Year Director

    1. Attends four Executive Board meetings and the Annual Business Meeting.
    2. Serves as Assistant Chair of the Annual Meeting Committee, primarily responsible for the local arrangements and presents written and verbal reports on the Committee’s activities at Executive Board meetings.
    3. Serves as a representative of the general membership on the Executive Board, Committees, and elsewhere as needed.
    4. Serves as a liaison with other state, national, and regional archival organizations.
    5. May be responsible for other duties as requested by the President.
    6. Forwards to the SGA Archivist any non-current files and turns over the current files to the incoming First-Year Director.

    Second-Year Director

    1. Attends four Executive Board meetings and the Annual Business Meeting.
    2. Serves as Chair of the Annual Meeting Committee responsible for oversight of all components of the annual meeting and primarily for the content of the program; and presents written and verbal reports on the Committee’s activities at Executive Board meetings.
    3. Serves as a liaison with other state, national, and regional archival organizations.
    4. May be responsible for other duties as requested by the President.
    5. Forwards to the SGA Archivist any non-current files and turns over the current files to the incoming Second-Year Director.
